Drew Steanson is a 32 year-old classical pianist based in London and Oxford. He specialises in the nineteenth and twentieth century piano repertoire with performances that have been described as ‘exceptional - thrilling and sensitive by turns’ (Musical Opinion Dec 2017).
Drew studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Trinity Laban London, and most recently with Alessandra Brustia in Bolzano, Italy.
He was a finalist in the 1st International Medtner Competition in St Petersburg 2016, winner of the Rome Liszt Competition 2022 (Danubia Talents), and he won the Oxford Piano Competition in 2025.
Recent performances include concertos by Rachmaninoff and Grieg as well as recitals in London, Italy, Germany and Ukraine. He has played in many of London's most prestigious concert halls including the Royal Festival Hall, Wigmore Hall, St James's Piccadilly, Steinway Hall, St Martins-in-the-Fields, and at Inner Temple in the Temple Young Emerging Artists Series. Drew’s future performances include a concerto appearance in Oxford with the Isis Chamber Orchestra (February 2026).
