For example, when you subscribe to our mailing list, fill out a Friends/Patron/Benefactor Application form, or you have kindly donated financially to help support the Orchestra, or apply for a position to play with us.

If you have subscribed to our mailing list, we will only use your data to send you a newsletter from time to time.
If you have applied for a position to play with our orchestra, we will use the data to contact you regarding opportunities to join our orchestra or act as a deputy player.
If you filled out a Friends/Patron/Benefactor Application form, or you have kindly donated financially to help support the Orchestra, we may store your data based on statutory requirements other than data protection regulations. This may include but is not limited to

How long do we keep your personal data?
We retain personal data only for as long as is needed. When a member leaves St Giles Orchestra and all administrative tasks relating to their membership have been completed any potential sensitive data held on them will be deleted. If an individual opts out of a mailing list, their data will be removed as soon as it is practically possible.
Is your data secure?
St Giles Orchestra will ensure that the data held by us is kept securely.
Electrically - held data will be held within a password protected and secure environment.
Access to data will only be give to relevant trustees/committee members/website designer where it is clearly necessary for the running of the orchestra.
