How to reach St Andrews Church, Oxford

There are regular services to Oxford Station. It is over two miles to walk to Linton Road, so you are best advised to take a taxi.

From Oxford City Centre

Make your way northbound to St Giles (the street where the orchestra was founded!) and when it forks, take the right hand option to the Banbury Road (A4165). After about a mile, look out for the Parklands Hotel on the right, and just before it, turn right into Linton Road, then see 'local directions and parking'.

Local directions and parking

Once in Linton Road, the church is at the south-east corner of the first crossroads. There is free evening parking outside the door or in adjacent streets. The church is fully accessible with a small driveway near the front door accommodating one car.

From the East via M40

Coming from the east, take Junction 8 onto the A40, turn right at the large Headington roundabout onto the northern bypass (A40). After a couple of miles, turn left onto the A4165 Banbury Road. Pass through Summertown shops, and look out for the Parklands Hotel on the left. At this corner, turn left into Linton Road.

From the North via A34

Coming from the north, exit the A34 at Peartree roundabout, following signs for City Centre. At the next roundabout (Wolvercote), take the second exit onto the A40. At the next roundabout, take the third exit onto the A4165 Banbury Road. Pass through Summertown shops, and look out for the Parklands Hotel on the left. At this corner, turn left into Linton Road.

From the South via A34

If you don't know Oxford, or want to avoid the congested City Centre, the simplest route is to exit from the A34 at Peartree roundabout, following signs for City Centre. At the next roundabout (Wolvercote), take the second exit onto the A40. At the next roundabout, take the third exit onto the A4165 Banbury Road. Pass through Summertown shops, and look out for the Parklands Hotel on the left. At this corner, turn left into Linton Road.
