How to reach Cheney School rehearsals

Location of Cheney School

We rehearse at Cheney School, Cheney Lane, Headington, Oxford OX3 7QH. The school is located just south of Oxford Brookes University. The main entrance is in Cheney Lane near the junction with Warneford Lane. For an interactive map, see Google Maps, Multimap or Streetmap. After passing the entrance barrier, there is parking.

Walking within the school grounds

We rehearse in the 'old' main hall. See satellite picture below.

From the car park, go through the main entrance, and turn right, then left through two old red doors. Go down the steps, and walk across the playground, keeping left. Walk between the raised tennis courts and a classroom building. Then bear left and go under a raised building where there are lockers and you will see the old main hall ahead of you (long tall windows).

Note for large instruments (only): You can enter via the Oxford Brookes University entrance midway along Gipsy Lane, turn immediately left (past a barrier) and follow the internal road round. You'll come to a car park which has fairly level access to an entrance on the left. It has some open tall gates and you can park in there even closer to the door which is very near the hall.
